I am new to iPad and anything Apple in general but enjoying the ride. I have been a Windows PC user for over 20 years so my learning curve is steep.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

Apple - Support - Manuals

Please read the rules too!!

Thanks for the greetings. How do I download the iPad manual to my iPad for reading while not connected to the net? After it downloads, how do I view it?
Cheers,
Tom

Once you've downloaded it in Safari, if you 'touch' the document a menu bar will open at the top of the screen and you'll be offered the opportunity to 'Open In' and apps that can read PDF will be offered. So, for example, I opted to 'Open in iBooks' and I keep it there for future off-line reference.

You can find it free in the iBook store, or as a PDF online from Apple, once downloaded, it will always be available, just like any other downloaded ebook or document.

Thanks that worked.
I was looking for the User Guide in the App store, not sure why I was doing that.

Like many others, I too am new to the iPad (2to be exact). Looking forward to using it both personally and professionally.
