Hello, and thanks for reading this. I'm likely older than most of you. I work at a large university in Southern California. I spent most of my life in broadcasting. My brother is a pilot. He flies Gulfstreams. He gave me a stack of old laptops of his that the TSA has murdered over the last few years. I fixed one, by taking out the hard drive and putting in an SSD. Then rather than windoze I put in Linux. I built it into a tunnel for him. (using nomachine NX, soon to be upgraded to nomachine 4) He got an iPad2 a while back, and still "froths at the mouth" over it. So I figured I would get one as well. I've had it about two days, and ZOWEE! What a great piece of gear. Have you noticed that Microsoft users describe their experience starting "That PoS did this..." or "The damned PC did that..." or "My forth BSOD (( Blue Screen of Death ) I believe Microsoft has copywritten that term) today". While Apple users are always gloating about their experiences? I'm beginning to understand just why. I thank you guys for such a great forum. I started with the "Read this first" thread, then downloaded the user's manual. (I got my Ipad 2 used.) Anyone have experiences using MAC OS stuff on the IOS platform? Any hope for this stuff working? My name is Vic. And again, thanks for reading this!
