When I put iPad on dock and iTunes opens, in the window options-backup and restore, the restore IPad is grayed out and can't use it.
Anyone have an idea of what I need to do.?

I wonder if iTunes is smart enough to know that Find My iPhone/iPad is turned on? Try turning it off in Settings > iCloud and see if it makes a difference.
