iPad searching

Hi, welcome to iPF!

If it's not an app that you're looking at at the moment when you see something "searching", then take a look at the multitask bar. To view it, double tap the Home button. Most of the apps there will not be active, just waiting for you to open them again. You can try, however, force closing them and watching the effect on your iPad.

To force close apps:
iOS 6: tap and hold one of the apps in multitask bar until they start to wiggle. Delete them.
iOS 7: slide the pictures/thumbnails above the app icons towards the top of the screen.

Hope that helps.

Searching

I tired and no cider. I believe it is my wi-fi. I can turn it off and it stops. But when I turn back on it keeps searching. I checked my wi-fi and it is connected but it keeps searching and that is what runs my battery down.

Here are a few things you can do:

Try restarting your iPad: turn it off, wait a little, turn it on again.
Reset your router: turn it off, wait for a few minutes, turn it on again.
Make sure your software on the iPad and the router is up to date. The latest software for iPad 2 and later is iOS 7.1.1.

Go to Settings - Wi-Fi, tap the connection and select "Forget this Network". Set it up again afterwards.
