The sound on my Ipad 3 only works if I have headphones plugged in and the charger connected. As soon as I take the charger out the sound stops and the message dock connection appears.
I have tried a hard reset(home button and power buton pressed together) and a Reset all settings but nothing solves this problem. I have checked and the sound is not mutted.
