iPad update via apple

I'd like to update to apples newest update when released.

Problem is, moving to Seattle soon. Girly going to stay here until maybe December. I'll just have whatever I can fit in the suv an whatever furniture I buy when I get out there. I'll only have the iPad.

If I go into apple, will they update my pad for free? Or will I just need to wait or buy a computer?

I think they will do it for free, they updated my girlfriends MacbookAir s/ware for free here in UK so don't see why you should be any less fortunate.

I had them update my iPad when I was between motherships.
It is a shame the iPad needs to be tethered to something else when it should do everything through the cloud.
But Steve knows best.
