Ipad Won't Show Videos in Photo

I'm kinda stuck.
I don't want to buy an apple tv
and I have a bunch of movies on my ipad
I found an app that can put it to the ps3 for me
but Itunes ****s with movies so I can't get them on it, but I CAN get any videos I have in my DCIM folder
So I jailbroke the ipad and went careening through the filesystem
and I found where the movies were
copied them off of the ipad, and I still have the others in the video section, no big deal, but I can't get them to show up in the photos on the ipad
which is all I want
I have them all where they should be in order for them to be seen, but it's like the Ipad is rejecting them.
The ipad even shows less space because of the copies, so they're on the system itself. I'm using IFunBox to access it on my computer too.
I'm using that to put things on the file system​

Movies in Camera Roll are .mov (QuickTime) files. Any others (.m4v) (.mpg) show up in Movies.

Never had any reason to check this out, but I assume that the iPad is only expecting to find QuickTime files in Camera Roll, and ignores anything that doesn't conform.

I just tried converting it to a MOV, still won't show up in photos like I need it to, stupid apple.
