When I open my iPad before the slide there is a box with a flower around it in the bottom right. This is a picture. How do I delete this ?

You cant. Its to toggle the slideshow feature of the ipad/lockscreen

Go to settings, general, passcode lock and you will find the option to turn picture frame off.
