Ipad2 to projector wirelessly

Newbie here. I would like to use my ipad for ppt presentations but I would like to be totally self contained so it doesn't matter about facilities especially at smaller churches. Not sure what would work best for the price.

I have been checking into the Wipad. Is it the only truly independent wireless system out there?? It is pricey and I wonder about "actual" range, spec sheet says 100' LOS.
