iPad2 Upgrade? Data Swap?

I'm not sure if I'm going to upgrade to an iPad2 yet, but I'm sure the thought is running through alot of our minds right now.

Anyway, IF I were to upgrade, how do I:

1) Swap all of my apps/data/etc. onto the new iPad? Is it simply just docking to iTunes and syncing?

2) How do I clear out my original iPad so that I could sell it or give it to a friend so that he can sync to his computer and not have any of my information still available to him?

Just food for thoughts.

As always, thanks for your assistance.

1) simple sync suffices
2) Settings->General->Reset->Erase all Content and Settings. Erasing your data only takes a minute or so. But if you want to go fancy use the Find my iPhone's remote wipe function.

That makes that pretty easy.

He won't have any issue syncing to his computer after its been synced to mine? After the memory wipe that is?

Erasing the content just resets the iPad to its factory settings. So it is in the exact same state it was in, when you first got it. Therefore there won't be any trouble when a new user is setting it up.
