iPhoto transfer

Hello I have an original iPad - I bought the attachment from the iShop which goes into the connection slot and allows a USB connection and also a camera card - thus photos can be uploaded.
Pease can someone tell me how I can copy a photo from my Ipad to a USB flash stick
