Is it just my ipad?

Alright, I just got my ipad this week and looking at it, I think I've noticed something strange.

Now it's obviously a 1st generation ipad, so let me establish that, but under the glass in the center of the bezel opposite the home button, there's an almost invisible pinhole that looks like a camera would have been meant to be there. I was always under the impression that ipads have clean bezels all the way around, but this imperfection doesn't look like a flaw, it looks like the remains of a prototype of some variety or something.

Is this in all ipads, or is it just me? thanks folks!

Congratulations, you really inspected the iPad thoroughly to stumble upon the brightness sensor. It is used to automatically determine what the screen brightness level should be.
