Hey I just got my iPad 2 (3G & WIFI) from my husband for Christmas, loving it so far but I am having an issue when I now text from my iPhone4 it sends the text from my e-mail address to his cell (iphone 3GS) and says not delivered on my phone but he does receive it. When he texts me back it sends from his e-mail address to my e-mail instead of my imessages! Do I have to turn off my texting on my iPad? What if I want to use it in the future? I searched the forums for hours and could not find anything on this so I apologize if this has been asked before.

This has just happened to my daughter when she was sending me messages, I received them as emails. She was in a shopping centre at the time and I thought this might have had something to do with not having a very strong signal. It also told her the message wasn't delivered. iMessages does work from your email address on the iPad though and can work from both email and number on your phone. How do you have it set up on your phones, do you have the number there or just the email address? Settings - Messages - Receive at. Also did you have send as SMS on here too. Let us know how you go.
