Is there an iPod Classic to iPad adapter?

I have a Belkin TuneTalk for my iPod Classic which provides CD-quality audio.
I have not yet purchased an iPad, but I assume the connections are different. Does anyone make an adapter so that I can use the TuneTalk with an iPad?

If not, is there a high-quality external microphone available for the iPad?
