Itunes albums split

When I download already purchased albums from ITunes they appear as split tracks instead of one whole album. Can anyone help please ? Highly frustrating

I don't think I understand the issue. Songs on a CD/album are in separate tracks. And, iTunes will show them as separate tracks (although they will still be linked via the metadata.

But, if you start the album from the beginning, it will go through all the songs in order (unless, of course, you have shuffle play set up). Is this not what is happening?

Ok. If I re download an album I have already purchased, instead of all the songs sticking together in the album hence displaying only one album pic, the song in the album are separated which then displays numerous album pic arts containing songs from the album. All I want is to download my purchased albums again and have the complete album together.
