iTunes movies

OK, this is probably a silly question but not having bought a movie through iTunes before I just want to make sure.
Are the movies they sell universal throughout their platforms?
What I mean is, when you play a DVD it does not care what size screen you are viewing it on. Are these movies the same way and can I view them on both my Touch and iPad without any re-formatting?
As I said, this is probably a silly question and the answer the obvious YES but I just want to be sure before buying anything.

yes you can watch them on any device...PC, MAC, iPod Nano, iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad.

Yep, I've watched them on my HD tv before too.

The iPad is a little different, it will play 720p as well.
