iTunes store

I received an IPAD for Christmas and I am really excited about it, however i can't join the iTunes store and become registered because St Helena (the island where I am currently living) is not shown on the list of countries recognised. I have a visa card, and am able to shop online at most other online stores but not APPLE!!! This is so frustrating - I have downloaded ITunes and at the moment all I can do is listen to music! How do I go about registering?

I think you need to get some gift cards from US , and then register , and use the gift card instead of credit card . Giving some false address in the US.
