does anyone know where itunes saves its files so i can manually put files in with ifile.

You cant do that just using iFile. Very few things on the iPad work by just dropping files where you think they should be. There are often databases to be updated which the apps take care of, particularly for music, photos, etc.

If you want to manually manage your media look into dTunes on Cydia. This allows you to drag and drop files from your PC onto the iPad in the way I think you are looking for...
