Hello

I want this thread to help people who are lost like me...

I have iPad (first gen) 3G+Wifi 32GB
I was trying to jailbreak it on OS 4.3

unfortunatly the screen went black and i didn't know how to get it back

restored it and it downloaded the latest update 4.3.4

I want to jailbreak it now but not sure if i can?

i used tinyumbrella, before the blackscreen

i clicked save shsh but there is nothing in the list where they should appear, this is since i downloaded the software...

can you help me?

If you have no blobs saved you are stuck on 4.3.4, however since you have the IPad1, you can use redsn0w to tethered jailbreak it. See our sticky posts for details.

i have seen them

but i don't want a Tethered jailbreak i want the untethered

Nobody wants a tethered jailbreak ;)

But without blobs, that is your only option. Sorry.

Oh I see...

well if there was like a new os for update or whatever can i then save my shsh for the current os and get untethered jailbreak?

and thanks for replying btw..

You can save SHSH for 4.3.4 now using TinyUmbrella. Nothing stopping you, however that has no bearing on whether you can untether it in the future. You blobs will simply allow you to reinstall 4.3.4 if you need to in the future, once a new version of iOS is out. But if an untethered jaikbreak for 4.3.4 is never released (which seems unlikely), it will always be tethered.
