I am completly sold on jailbreaking my ipad, however i am completly lost on where to even begin. Should i pay someone to do it or is there a walk thru process for dummies like me? Can i jailbreak my ipad from my work computer or do in need to do it from my laptop that i sync my ipad with at home? I guess i am more worried that i will screw something up in the process. there is mulitple techniques to break, which one is best to use for dummies like me. Thanks for anyone patience that wishes to guide a lost soul like me lol!:D
 
Our jailbreaking moderator is a world expert and he has written some great 'stickies' in the 'Hacking' section. There's everything you could ever possibly want to know there.. have a look..

You can only jailbreak the iPad 1 at this point...which firmware/version is your iPad on...to check go settings/general/about
 
Yes, check out the stickies in this and the new tutorials and guides section. Then come back with questions and don't forget to tell us your exact setup.

mine is the first generation, 64g, 3g wifi. i followed you thru the about stage after that i didnt know what else you would be looking for. Sorry about being to ignorant to hacking, but i really am looking forward to working my way thru this (with some help) and seeing the potential this thing really has!:p

Which VERSION do you see in the about section? 3.2.x or 4.2.1 or 4.3.x etc!

I have version 4.3.3 (8J3) thanks for the help
