Remember, search is your friend. You can download the manual for your iPad here http://support.apple.com/manuals/ and in iBooks search for "iPad user guide for" and you will find free comprehensive manuals for both iOS 4 and 5.

As I'm sure you'll soon find out the iPad is a very versatile piece of equipment - bought mine originally mainly for media consumption and browsing, now I'm finding myself doing stuff from creating music and making illustrations to writing notes on it.
