Bought Keynote with the intention of creating an interactive presentation for work where I could put buttons on the slide to select various options that would then hyperlink to a slide with an input table that would create a chart.

Great concept with the exception that hyperlinking between slides is not supported on the ipad.

Have read that a work around is to create the Keynote presentation (not on the ipad) and then convert to a clickable pdf.

Again, concept is good but does not allow you to put live data in to a table to create the chart.

Does anyone know of a work around or an app that will let you create hyperlinks to pages or slides on the ipad?

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

This problem with Keynote is a big issue - I have exactly the same problem too and I've not found a way around it. Lecturing is my 'day job' so I'd love to find a solution - hopefully someone out there in 'iPad Forum land' will have some pointers....

Hope to hear from you soon with your thoughts about the iPad.

Have fun and enjoy your iPad

If you don’t already have it you can download a copy of the iPad manual for free.

It’s free too.

The current iOS apps don't seem to be able to do that. There are apps, which can create presentations (Keynotes) and apps, which support hyperlinking (TypeLink), but as far as I know, no app supports both.

That said, if hyperlinking is something you require, take a look at Typelink, it allows you to link any word to other pages, as well as embed YouTube videos. But apart from hyperlinking does this app provide very few features, there isn't even an import/export function.
