Kindle will not open after last update

On my ipad 3 kindle will not open after last update. Tried to download on I turn, then reboot, I don't know what to do next.Please help. thank you al Carol

Did you delete the app and reinstall it through App Store - Purchased?

Try to force close the app:
Four/five finger swipe to show the multitask bar, swipe thumbnails above the app icons towards the top of the screen.

yes I did delete app. and reinstall no dice. I don't understand the force close app. Please try to help

If you perform the four finger swipe in iOS 7x, your screen will look like this: Tap the picture above the app icon and drag/swipe it towards the top of the screen.
