LaserVR Alpha Range from Circutus LLC is a unique video projector game that’s available exclusively for iPad (2nd and 3rd gen only), iPhone, and iPod touch (4th gen only). All you need to make it work is your own Pico projector, tabletop tripod such as iStabilizer FlexO, a low-powered laser pointer, and your iDevice, of course! Simply equip a video projector to your camera-equipped device to enable the LaserVR to “see†the game its playing on a wall, and track the dots from a laser pointer to recognize button clicks and player interactions. LaserVR Alpha Range uses advances in computer vision to combine a virtually projected game with real-world actions. For the first time, you can simultaneously process a real-time camera feed while displaying the game’s graphics and user interface.

The app will be available in the App Store no later than June 19 for $7.99/€5.99/£5.49/AUD$8.49. Click the link below to find out more about how to use it.

pretty cool application for pico projectors

I can see this being pretty fun. Its like an Atari version of Fruit Ninja. I have all the tools necessary to play this game but it seems a bit difficult to have my phone stand up on its own without a clasp like what is shown in the video.

I can see some great applications with this type of technology and as I am a big pico projector enthusiast(already own 3, 2 from AAXA Technologies, the P4 and M2, as well as 1 from Optoma, the PK120). I hope to see even more development from Circutus LLC. I may have to purchase the game just to support them!
