Link sharing from Safari

I share a lot of links on Facebook and Twitter. I know that the next version of the OS will have Twitter integration. However, until then, is there a good way to easily share links from Safari. It doesn't seem like Safari does extensions, so I would settle for a standalone app. If I'm on Flipboard it's easy, but not when I'm just in Safari. This is an area where Android has spoiled me.

Any ideas?
