Have you tried to do a search on this forum for any of your questions, miss mouse? Searching may be helpful for you as you begin to learn more about your iPad. Also, your questions may have been asked and answered by others already with existing threads here.

Hmmm, I dont see the answer to this one tho, & I have had a search about. Someone on another forum suggested this isnt an ipad issue but the websites. It is detecting I am using a mobile device & that is somehow causing the issue. Does that sound possible?
If so, is there some way to set ipad to hide its status I know how to set up an anonymous proxy on a pc quite easily to get around censorship issues etc, is there a simple way to do the same on ipad?
I have emailed the website in question to ask their help bur as yet not had a reply!
thanks in advance!

Sometimes, yes, it is hard to "disguise" the iPad so that web sites don't see it as a mobile device. What a lot of pele do in that case is use another browser on the iPad. Many have had success with Atomic Web Browser and iCab Mobile. Both of these apps can be set so they appear as if you are using a computer-specific browser such as Firefox or Internet Explorer. I've not tried it myself - but maybe the new [free] app Chrome can also work better.

Again, many web sites are still behind the times and consider the iPad a mobile device. So, you have to work around it.

Hope this helps.

Emailing the website to explain that you are not able to log in on you iPad was a good idea. I was having trouble with links on a classical radio station's web site. I told then that the links to earlier play lists were broken. They were only broken on Apple mobile devices. The webmaster replied in an email that the links were broken on his iPhone, too. I think that it has something to do with the program they use to put together their web pages.
