Hello im looking to get my wife an ipad3 for our 6th year wedding anniversary soon and was wondering what other people have gotten either the wifi only or 4g model?
Happy Anniversary! I have an iPad 2 so I'm not much help. Keep in mind data plans and charges, when purchasing it.

Hi there--I don't have the new iPad, as a gift to my sister we opted to get the 32Gb wifi iPad. I wanted to consider her future use and what she would use it for. I thought to go with the 32Gb to have more storage, however, if your funds allow for it--you should go with the highest storage capacity that you can.
My next ipad I buy I will probably go for the 64Gb/cellular...there's been several occasions that I wished to be online but wifi was not available to me.
Have a look at some of the recent threads posted for you to get a better idea of what you want to get. Good luck!
can the ipad be used with a cell phones wifi? also is it ok to buy from another store besides the apple store? can you add apple care if you dont get it at the apple store?
Regarding the Apple Care-I believe that you can purchase the Apple Care regardless if you buy it at an Apple store or not. At least my nephew was able to in Michigan.
I believe that you have to purchase the Apple care plan within 30 days of the purchase of the iPad.You will have to bring the iPad in to an apple store for inspection before you can purchase the apple care plan,if you didn't get apple care at the time of purchase.
Another difference between a wifi and 4G iPad is the true capability of GPS and the size of the iPad screen makes this so easy.
You also do not need a charged sim for this as the GPS chip is built into the iPad. Just a thought here.
