Loss of sound and video

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

When an app behaves strangely it is best to close it completely and then relaunch it. From the home screen do the four finger swipe up or double press the home button to reveal your multi task bar. These are all the apps that you have opened at one time. Long press the app until it jiggles and a red minus sign will appear above it. Press the minus sign, this will close the app, not delete it, now press the home button to return to your screen. It's also a good idea to close all these apps, as it helps the iPad run smoothly. See if it now works, a reset may be in order.

Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you may see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start. Let us know how you go.

Welcome to the forum! Your other post was deleted since it was asking the same question as the first.

Lets keep the initial question to one post for others to help you easier.

The second message made the distinction between the fact that it is not just one App, it is happening for all the apps and the basic original programmes also!

If there is more information on your issue it should be posted in the same thread as to keep all relevant information together to make it easier for us to help you.

Did you follow the steps above? Let us know

Discussions.apple.com provided me with the answer.

Which was to hold the on/off button down simultaneously with the home button until the Apple icon appears then wait until it reboots and "voila" everything was ok!

Well I'm glad your issue is now fixed and thank you for letting us know.

But if you have a look at my earlier post, you will see that I also gave you the same answer to fix your issue. ;)
