Love my ipad

Hi, I've come over to mac after being with the Other Firm for 15 years, couldn't stand it anymore so got a desktop mac computer in October, been a learning curve getting my stuff on it and learning the new system, but no way would I go back, I love the mac. Have now got an ipad air, and I really love it too. What beautiful machines they are. Still got some teething problems, but hope I will find some answers here. My laptop is Windows 7' can't afford a new laptop at the mo, but it is useful still having the windows as there is stuff I can't transfer over.

Hi Finvarra - welcome to the forum! Although I started w/ an Apple II+ in 1980, quickly switched to Windows for work-related compatibility which continued for 30+ years - retired in 2011, and last spring bought a MB Pro for myself and an iMac for my wife - tomorrow I will be donating my old Dell computer to the local medical center (where I worked for 34 years!) - wiped the HD and installed XUbuntu, so feel safe in the transaction.

If not already done, I would suggest joining the MacForums for you OS X needs - some great people there who may be able to give advice on your Windows 7 transition over to Apple - I'm RadDave​ on that forum - good luck! Dave

Hi Dave, thanks for the link, I'll sign up to that. I wish I had started with Apple when we got our first computer, but my husband wanted windows. Can't believe how much easier and user friendly apple is. Switching hasn't been too difficult, just a few issues, mainly with pictures. I just retired too, and I think I'm turning into a teenager, hooked up to my ipad!

I also love my iPad mini , especially for Internet browsing purpose. I can bring it to any coffee shop easily.
