MacBook -- iPad (no WiFi ?)

Hi,

My friend has his 3G mobile net with a dongle in his MacBook.

It seems he does not have WiFi,

Would there be any way to have WiFi for his iPad with this set-up?

(BTW with the USB cable connecting both, he cannot "see" his iPad in (Mac)iTunes, the same happened to me!)

This should probably work.

I'm not sure what the 3G dongle will show up as, or if it will show up as a source. That is what will decide if you can do it or not. You'll want to share to the Wi-Fi/Airport on the other side. This should set up a small internet hotspot the iPad can connect to.
