Mail app problems

I reinstalled 5.1.1 and jailbroke my new iPad 2 weeks ago. Now when I open the mail app I get a blank screen, or the app locks up when I try to delete or edit my email. If I run in safe mode it works fine. Also have had some problems with other apps randomly freezing or crashing .

Well, that's definitely not normal behavior for a jail broken iPad. Do you have a lot of tweaks loaded?

And, if I may ask, what tweaks do you have loaded? You might have some that are not compatible with the iPad, iOS 5.1.1 or both. Maybe if we see what you have installed, we might be able to figure out which ones could be causing you troubles.

Here's a pix of my cash list, was much longer before I rebooted. Thanks for any help you can give.

The first thing I am going to say is "Wow! No wonder you are having issues!" You have a lot of tweaks installed - and I can guarantee that's your problem.

To start, you've got stuff installed on your iPad that is only for the iPhone (specifically, the 3GS and the 4). That's the tweak Call Tell (and its SBSettings toggle). I don't even know how you got it on your iPad - Cydia should not have let you install it! So, that's one thing that should go.

Then, any tweak having to do with Siri is going to cause you issues because the official Siri tweak is not updated to work on iOS 5.1.1. So, I'd recommend getting rid of those.

TBH - I think you have sources installed that are not the default Cydia ones. I could not find (using Search in Cydia) most of the tweaks you had listed. I only have the repos loaded that come with the initial jail break. So, my recommendation is to remove all tweaks from the non-stock/default repos and then remove all the non-stock repos. There are reasons that Jay Freeman, the owner of Cydia, has a small list of "good" repos. The rest are either untried, no good or dodgy at best. You run too much of a risk with these unknown/unverified repos - as you've discovered.

So, I would go back to the basics and only use the tweaks from these repos:

BigBoss
Cydia/Telesphoreo
Dev Team
Mod Myi
ZoTTD & MacCity

Then, you will be using "tried and true" repos with tried and true tweaks. And, the iPad will run much better.

Thank you very much for the feed back, I did unistall CallTell and toggle last night, will try removing Siri and ext. will wait for IOS 6 For that. I used PKGbackup the last time I restored my iPad3. If that does not work will restore and start over. I also had problems with the sandbox could not buy or restore upgrades on a couple of apps from the apple store. they worked but had to install them before I did the Jailbreak. thanks again for the help will give feed back to let you know how thing work out.

Restored my new iPad last week end, and jailbroke. Everything seams to be working now, thanks.
