On my new iPad2, when I try to delete mail messages, I get the error message, "Unable to Move Messages; The messages could not be moved to the mailbox Trash."

This doesn't happen on my desktop computer, my laptop, or my iPhone. Why is it happening on my iPad, and what can I do about it?

Thanks.
Alice

Alice ~ have you tried holding down the home button and power button for about 30 seconds until you see the Apple Logo? Then it will reboot.

Try that ~ get back to us if that does not work!

This solved the "unable to move message" for me

I have the Ipad2 32gb 3G version.When I tried to delete/save to draft an email : I got the same message."unable to move message"
This is what solved the problem.
My mail server is set to IMAP (very important)
On the Ipad2 do the following.
Go to Settings/
Mail,Contacts,Calendars

Then Accounts ,touch the ">" then touch the ">" next to your email address again.
Now you should be at the Account Info
Again touch the ">" at Advanced
Now at the Mailbox Behaviors:
change the following: settings at the ">" icon as
Drafts Mailbox to (Drafts On the Server)
Sent Mailbox to (Sent On the Server)
Deleted Mailbox to (Deleted On the Server)

now you can touch cancel, done, done again.
