While using my Wi-Fi iPad today, a pop-up appeared:
www2.pcdefense70.co.cc "Warning! Your computer is at risk of malware attacks. We recommend you to check your system immediately. Press OK to start the system now..."

Is this a hoax or malware attack?

How do I get rid of the pop-up screen?

Thanks

Sounds like a hoax. I would stay away from that site. There are lots of reputable places to buy stuff, and that isn't one.

Well, a iPad reboot took care of getting rid of the pop-up "Click here" screen in Safari.

Now I need to find an add-on for Safari (or for Google search on the iPad) to warn of attack or bad sites.

Don't bother. You can't install anything on the iPad (add-ons, drivers, etc). The only things you can install are apps from the AppStore.
