Merging Duplicate Contacts

My Windows Mail, which I downloaded to my IPad Contacts, had a number duplicate name listings, but with different info in each eg name and address in one, email and telephone in the other. Is there a way to merge them now that they are in the IPad Contacts app?

If you have the Contacts synced with an online service you might be able to merge contacts on the site. iCloud is not one of those sites. If you can sync iCloud with a computer client (like Address Book on a Mac, or Outlook on Windows Vista or 7) you could use that program to merge contacts.

In short. There is no way of doing it on the iPad (that I could find). No way of doing it on iCloud.com (that I could find).
