Message Dotts / History...

Sorry , I had asked this Question once before but am drawing a blank.. Had issues with my iPad and basically had to ReSet / ReBoot to get the iPad to Cooperate.. In the process the Message Dotts have Reappeared.. The Task is to Delete / Remove Messenger Dotts on top of screen.. Double Clicking Home Button to Swipe History of Recent Activity , the Dotts appear showing the Initials of people I had Messaged.. That's Old History I don't need to be Reminded about.. That's in Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars - Contacts, Show in App Switcher. Turn if off there.
