Since the upgrade to the new OS, there's an icon for messaging, but it's of no use to me. What is it for?

It's to send iMessages (basically, texts) back and forth, via WiFi, with others who have iDevices with iOS 5 installed. Free!

It's a very cool upgrade. Another moderator and I have used this iMessage to send free texts - he lives in Scotland, I live in the USA. We can talk across the miles with no charge to either of us. That's so kewl! I am impressed with Apple on this one...

It's like MSN Messenger or BB Messenger except its for Apple OS5 users. As I don't know anybody else with OS it's no use to me.
