What is the best app for Excel and Word?

Hi there and welcome.

Pages and Numbers are always a good start but there are others like Office2HD and Quick Office.

There is lots of good advice and info on here plus plenty of members all too willing to help with any problems.

Remember, search is your friend. I use pages and numbers without problem . Very easy to use and no problem with integration .
