Microsoft has updated its Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad with a bunch of new features. The most important new options seems to be the deeper integration with Microsoft’s Outlook for iOS app. Here's how the full list of changes in Word, Excel and PowerPoint is as follows.

Microsoft Word 1.12 for iOS:

  • Change case—Quickly change selected text to uppercase, lowercase, sentence case, and more.
  • Send with Outlook—Send a document as an Outlook email attachment and return to Word.
  • Integration with Outlook—Edit a document attached to an Outlook email message. When you’re done, the updated document will be attached to a new email message, ready to send.
Microsoft Excel 1.12 for iOS:
  • Send with Outlook—Send a spreadsheet as an Outlook email attachment and return to Excel.
  • Integration with Outlook—Edit a spreadsheet attached to an Outlook email message. When you’re done, the updated spreadsheet will be attached to a new email message, ready to send.
Microsoft PowerPoint 1.12 for iOS:
  • Comments task pane—View comments next to the slide in a task pane.
  • Send with Outlook—Send a presentation as an Outlook email attachment and return to PowerPoint.
  • Integration with Outlook—Edit a presentation attached to an Outlook email message. When you’re done, the updated presentation will be attached to a new email message, ready to send.
All three Word, Excel and PowerPoint apps are available at no cost in the App Store with basic document editing features. A paid Office 365 membership, however, starts at $5.99 via the In-App Purchase mechanism and brings advanced editing functionality. If you don't have the app installed yet, go ahead and follow the links from below to do so.
