Remember, search is your friend. Well, as I was trying to create an image, Gabriel provided the answer to your question. But below is a visual example - I sent myself a 'document'; pressing and holding the icon will open the menu shown from which you can select a number of options (again depending on what apps are on your iPad that can 'open' the attachment) - good luck!
