Music app stopped working

i had been creating playlists in the music app. I started adding music to one of the playlists. After adding music I am not able to come out of that add-songs-to-playlist mode. The normal 'Done' option does not appear and the app refuses to come out of this mode. As a result I am not able to play any songs from this app on my iPad. What is the solution. Can any one help me please? Thanks.
 
Try force closing the app by double clicking the home button then swiping up on the thumbnail image above the app icon. Now re-open the app and see if you can play any of your songs.
