Music from iPhone 2 iPad?

I have today tried to transfer the music from my iPhone to my iPad and have been surprised to find that it doesn't seem possible.

Has any one got any easy suggestions or does it all have to come directly from iTunes?

I think it has to come directly from iTunes ~ but I could be wrong. Let see what others say!

If jailbroke, it's possible.....but can't be done with stock iOS/bt stack. So has to be done with iTunes.
