My brand new iPad 2!

Dear all, pls advise if charging is needed for my brand new iPad 2 before using; and if required, for how many hours? Thank you!

Why not just charge it in the wall ~ while you use it? Or not. I charge mine, or try to, before I go to bed then it is good to go with me in the morning.

Good to hear from you. You’ll find a whole bunch of iPad enthusiasts in this Forum who are only too willing to help other iPad owners and to hear of their experiences. Don’t be afraid to post any questions you may have or use the ‘Search’ button near the top of the Forum web page. I usually find I discover one new interesting and useful piece of information about my iPad every day - and often not even what I was looking for!!

iPads are normally delivered in a charged condition. You need to synchronise first of all with a PC that has the latest version of iTunes on it. Details are all in the manual and I've put a link below. So, no real need to charge the iPad first of all but, if you want to, it can't do any harm either (while you read the manual!!)
