Mystery Updates

My App Store icon is showing a little red 3 for three updates but the update page is blank. Changing to other App Store pages and back has no effect. Checked all my apps individually and none show an update needed. Any ideas?

Have you tried to shut down your iPad to see if it will fix it?

Turning off and on had no effect, now six mystery updates BUT I checked for software updates and saw there was an iOS update waiting so downloaded that and after installation updates had a think and decided to start working again. So mystery updates fixed by update.
