I agree with you. I work in IT, but my wife doesn't know one end of a computer from another. She's been trying to get into email and it's been an interesting experience for me. Stuff that I take for granted - or seems obvious to me - she has trouble with and, when I think about it objectively, I agree - it's not at all obvious.

I have a friend who, unknown to me, bought an iPad, but doesn't own a PC or have Internet access. She got the iPad home, managed to switch it on and was faced with the screen that says she has to sync with her PC using iTunes. She didn't have a clue what this meant. Computer manufacturers need to realise that not everyone knows what this terminology means.

I hope you have fun with your iPad and don't find it too frustrating. At least, on this Forum, you've a worldwide community that's always happy to help.
