Need a good MPEG2 client for streaming live video

All, I'm looking for an alternative to jail breaking my ipad2 to get VLC media player. I need this to stream live video. I've done a lot of searches but haven't come up with anything. Any suggestions? IPAD2 with iOS 4.3.5
