Need a new Printer

I need a new printer and want to make sure I get one that will be compatible with the new printing capabilities of iOS 4.2 when it comes out. Suggestions?

What kind of printing are you looking to do. Any other tasks like scanning? I'm going to get a Canon Pixma MG6150 to replace my current Canon printer. I'm wanting the Wireless printing and also the additional all in one capabilities.

I got an HP wireless printer free with my new iMac purchase last night. The guy who helped us said it was compatible. Once I have a chance to download the beta iOS 4.2 I'll test it out....probably in the next few days.

If you don't want to wait for iOS 4.2 then check out any of the HP ePrint series such as the d110a:

The d110a can be set up with an email address. Simply send files that you want to print as an email attachment and it will print the attachment. The cool thing about this is that it will work from anywhere - not just your local network.

If these HP printers can accept print request, do you know if the printer will be able wirelessly return to you a scanned file?

Right now the best bet is the HP models. With the HP app, it seems to work with most of their printers.

I just bought the Epson workforce all in one 610 and I can print to it using the current os using the fax and print share app.

I think you should wait before buy a new printer.

I'm using iPad iOS 4.2 Beta 2, have in the same wireless a HP Office Jet series 8000 (A809), i can't use this printer with my iPad, I just don't know why
