Need some advice - im still on j. Broken 4.2.1.

Am still on 4.2.1 and am startin to notice requirements for apps need to be 4.3 etc.

What would you do to update if you were me?

I want to remain jailbroken and not lose j/b apps already installed if possible.

Pls advise if possible step by step..

When you open Cydia, what does the top line of the home page, starting with SHSH: say?
Let me know, and I'll give you some advice.

It says shh 3.2.2, 4.2.1, 4.2b3, 4.3, 4.3.3.

Super news for you.!
Cydia has your blobs saved...

(you could do a restore to 4.3.3 , using the ipsw links on the sticky thread).
(to use the saved 4.3.3 blobs, 1. you can either use tiny umbrella OR 2. just edit the hosts file to point to cydia server)

Yes.! You can , since cydia has your blobs saved on its servers.

OK, so as was stated, it is really good news that you have your blobs. You are going to have to download them from Cydia using Tinyumbrella and then upgrade your jailbreak.

If you want to save all your apps, settings, etc, as you stated you will need to invest in PkgBackup. It is well worth the price in my opinion.
