Need to update my iPad

Hi all I'm new to the site and am looking for help. I'm desperate to upgrade the version from 4.2.1 to 4.3 or above. I have iPad

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I've given your post it's own thread as you had posted in an ongoing thread, which is called hijacking, which is also against our rules.
It will be much easier to help you now without derailing the other thread.

Updating your iPad now will update it to IOS 5.1.1 which will be a huge leap across many updates and will take some time depending on what you already have on your iPad.

You will need the latest version of iTunes on your PC, so make sure that is updated first. It's a good idea to also disable your firewall/virus protection for the duration of the update. Do a full backup of your iPad first also, I'll include some links below to guide you. iOS 5 comes with many new features and once you do this update all future updates can be done OTA (over the air).
