Networking the Ipad

Does anyone know how to get Ipad 2 to recognise a company network?

The ipad is connected via VPN to our company network and the gateway is secured by user name and password.

However, I can't get the ipad to see the network drives which are already mapped for this user - on another machine.

Any ideas?

There is no disk drive mapping ability from the iPad. No native file manager...
