hi forum folk!

Yes, I am newbie and have IPAD 2 or 3. (16 gb)

Took lots of video and started receiving messages of "not enough space" etc.......iCloud gives us five gb for free. I'm pretty sure.

When I try and open CAMERA........it goes to the screen where all the shutters converge,,,,but never opens.

So I added 10 gb to my ICloud...thinking that was the problem....but it still won't open.

suggestions on what to try?

Just got Samsung galaxy 4 instead of iPhone as my HTC sensation was behaving very badly lately.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

iCloud doesn't give you extra space on your iPad, it's to backup what you do have and/or send this info to your other devices. Have a look in Settings - General - About and look for available. This is the remaining space you have on your iPad. If you don't have much it might be time for you to sync your iPad to your pc/mac and limit photos and videos you keep on your iPad or alternatively remove apps you're not using. Apple keeps note of what apps you have purchased and these can be downloaded again free, you'll find them in your Purchased Tab in the App Store, or just back up your purchases onto your PC/mac also.

Also to ascertain which iPad you do have go to Settings - General - About and look for your Model No which you can then google.
Just thought you might want to look at this also.
